Next Joint Operation: 30 August 2025
Join TFP’s Monthly Joint Operations
Every month, Task Force Phalanx (TFP) opens its doors to like‑minded Arma 3 units for a large‑scale, co‑operative mission. These Joint Operations pit up to 100 players against hundreds of AI opponents in cinematic scenarios designed by our experienced Zeus team. They’re a chance to experience Arma 3 the way it was meant to be played: challenging, immersive, and unforgettable .
At Task Force Phalanx, every Joint Operation is more than just a single mission — it’s part of a carefully curated seasonal experience designed for immersive, story-driven gameplay.
Here’s how we structure each season of Joint Ops:
Each season, TFP creates a new mod list, tailored to support the campaign’s unique theme and mechanics. Whether it’s jungle warfare, counter-insurgency, or conventional mechanised conflict, our mod list is carefully balanced to deliver immersion, stability, and performance. The mod list is published in advance and made available via our Discord and Steam Workshop collections.
Our Zeus team doesn’t just build a mission — they craft a 3-part mini-campaign, connected by narrative and strategic continuity. Each month, you’ll play through a chapter of that story, with your actions influencing what comes next.
Roughly 2–3 weeks before each Joint Op, we publish:
An OPORD (Operations Order): A full mission briefing including the situation, mission objectives, execution plan, signals, and logistics.
An ORBAT (Order of Battle): A complete roster of all units and roles available for sign-up, from platoon leads to fireteams.
This gives players and unit leaders the context they need to plan ahead and coordinate with other groups.
Once the ORBAT is live, participants sign up for their preferred roles or teams. Unit leaders and Platoon Leads then begin planning their approach using the OPORD. These early planning sessions often occur on Discord or in private channels shared between leads.
To avoid any last-minute technical issues, the event server is made publicly accessible 7 days before mission day. This gives you a chance to:
Test the mod list in advance
Resolve any mod loading or compatibility problems
Prepare and save your loadout
This testing window is optional but highly recommended for a smooth experience, as technical assistance on the event day is limited.
On the day of the Joint Operation:
Server opens 1 hour before the scheduled start time
You can use this window to:
Finalise loadouts
Adjust radios and kits
Re-familiarise yourself with the mod environment
Platoon Leads conduct a live briefing to all units, reviewing the plan, comms structure, ROE, and contingencies
Once everyone is in position and accounted for, we step off into the operation
From start to finish, Joint Ops are designed to be immersive, organised, and memorable. Whether you're a seasoned milsim veteran or a newer group looking for high-quality Arma content, you're welcome at our table.
What to Expect
Epic scale and immersion – We leverage our powerful dedicated server and curated mod list to support scores of players and hundreds of AI without compromising performance. Expect intense firefights, dynamic objectives and plenty of opportunities for teamwork.
Co‑ordinated mission planning – Before each event we provide a full Operations Order (OPORD). In military terms, an OPORD is a directive from a commander that organizes units to achieve a mission. Our OPORD outlines the situation, mission objectives and execution plan so every participating unit knows what to expect.
Order of battle (ORBAT) – An ORBAT details the hierarchical organisation, command structure and disposition of all units taking part. We supply a clear ORBAT ahead of time so you know where your squad fits within the larger mission.
After‑action replays – Each Joint Op utilises a mission‑recording suite that captures every movement on the battlefield. After the op you can review the engagement on an interactive map – perfect for learning and debriefs.
Schedule
Joint Operations take place on the last Saturday of every month. Upcoming dates and times are listed in the embedded calendar at the bottom of our homepage here.
